2001 Introduction

Aileen Castlebury, PINE BRANCH DAYLILY GARDEN

*CASTLE PURPLE FRILLS

(R. 2000) 26" EMRe sev 4 1/2" (95-199T-PE) The frilly edges of this charming plant are what first caught my attention. Then I began to notice that it always has this wide open bloom, perfect and lovely. It is an outstanding rebloomer and fertile. This photograph was taken in bright sunlight, and the desirable small green heart, surrounded by a chartreuse throat, is barely visible. Three-way branching with an average bud count of 20 help make this pink-cream blend with purple eye and wire edge an excellent choice for any garden. $12.
