CASTLE ALLURING PINK (R. 94, I. 97) Dip - 22" EMRe sev 5" A lovely light rose-pink blend, this bloom has very tightly ruffled petals and sepals. A rose halo and white midribs enhance its loveliness. A good increaser - sibling to CASTLE CELEBRITY. Fertile.

CASTLE AMBER EDGES (R. 96, I. 98) Dip - 25" EMRe sev fr 4" This pink-cream blend has a lovely dark rose eyezone that gently blends toward the tightly ruffled amber edges on the petals. The plant has good substance, with a 4-way branching scape holding 20-25 buds.

CASTLE CELEBRITY (R. 96, I. 97) Dip - 25" EMRe sev fr 5 1/2" This attractive pink flower is endowed with a large yellow-chartreuse throat extending out to the distinctive rose eyezone. Early blooms are larger than the 5 1/2" registration. Very good substance. Fertile.

CASTLE CHERRY RUFFLES (R 96, I 98) Dip - 22" EMRe sev 5" A very full formed dark rose-red blend, this double has three-way branching holding an average of 15 buds. Two rebloom periods here give many enjoyable days of bloom.

CASTLE COTTON CANDY (R 96, I 97) Dip - 23" EMRe sev fr 4" This soft looking pink-cream blend double has always reminded me of the fluffy look of cotton candy. The many blooms and good branching come from SILOAM DOUBLE CLASSIC and CABBAGE FLOWER.

CASTLE CREPED BOUQUET (R 95, I 97) Dip - 26" EMRe sev 5 1/2" The first time I saw this seedling, I knew that if I registered it, "crepe" would be in its name. Outstanding substance; good increase; fertile both ways. An established clump is a bouquet of blooms.

*CASTLE DARK EYES (R 97, I 98) Tet - 27" EMRe sev 4" A sibling to CASTLE PURPLE FUSION. The black-red eyezone is repeated in the wire edge, intermingled with gold. Substance and increase are outstanding. Many blooms on this dark-eyed, pink-cream beauty.

CASTLE DAZZLING EYE (R 96, I 98) Dip - 28" EMRe sev fr 6 1/2" The first bloom I saw on this distinctive pink daylily a few years ago measured over 7". Early bloom is often relatively flat, and petal tips are sometimes stippled. Many blooms for your garden. Fertile.

*CASTLE DEBUTANTE (R 94, I 97) Tet - 26" EMRe sev 4 1/4" Even though not registered as a rebloomer, it has rebloomed for me. Its parents are STRAWBERRY CANDY and MING PORCELAIN. Good substance, with sturdy scapes that carry multiple blooms.

CASTLE DOUBLE DEBUT (R 94, I 95) Dip - 28" MRe sev vfr 5 1/2" The heavy substance of this double, its abililty as a fast increaser and a good bloomer qualified this daylily as one of my first registrations. Petals are wide and edges are slightly darker. Fertile.

CASTLE DOUBLE IVORY (R 96, I 98) Dip - 27" EMRe sev fr 5 1/4" The bloom on this double is often larger than the registered size. An excellent parent for doubles, the cultivar has 3-4 way branching with many blooms. A good rebloomer with very good substance.

CASTLE DOUBLE NOSEGAY (R. 95, I.97) Dip-22" EMRe sev fr 2 7/8" (YELLOW BOUQUET X SILOAM DOUBLE CLASSIC) A true miniature double, this coral-pink blend flower provides a constant "nosegay" of blooms. A fast increaser with good substance. Fertile.

CASTLE DOUBLE ROYALTY (R 95, I 98) Dip - 24" M sev 5 1/4" Pictured in A.H.S.'s Daylilies - A Fifty-Year Affair. This double is a very good pollen parent. Almost every seedling in this cross has this type of edge, with basic colors ranging from a light lavender to this deeper shade.

CASTLE DOUBLE SERENITY (R 96, I 97) Dip - 24" EMRe sev fr 4 3/4" A sib to CASTLE COTTON CANDY, this bloom exhibits a sense of tranquility. The petals are edged in rose. Reblooms twice here. A very strong plant with good increase. Fertile.

*CASTLE ELEGANT LADY (R. 94, I. 95) Tet - 26" MRe sev 4" (MING PORCELAIN X STRAWBERRY CANDY) This flower has a lovely rose-red eyzone, with a gold wire edge. Smooth textured, the plant has very good substance. Well-branched scapes carry multiple blooms.

*CASTLE ENCHANTMENT (R 96, I 98) Tet - 24" EMRe sev 5" WEDDING BAND and STRAWBERRY CANDY gave me a distinctive bloom with edges--a deep violet edge is more evident than the wire cream edge. A good parent for edges; three-way branching averaging 15 buds.

*CASTLE EXCITEMENT (R 96, I 97) Tet - 28" EMRe sev 5 1/2" Out of MAGIC FILIGREE X STRUTTER'S BALL, the lovely bloom has great substance. Narrow cream edges add accent to this daylily. A good increaser and bloomer. Fertile both ways.

CASTLE ORCHID BLOSSOMS (R. 96, I. 98) Dip - 25" EMRe vfr dor 3 3/4" (SILOAM APPLE BLOSSOM X SILOAM ROYAL PRINCE) My first dormant daylily to register, I was impressed with this small flower because of its many lovely blooms and well-branched scapes.

*CASTLE ORCHID FROSTINGS (R 97, I 98) Tet - 25" EMRe sev 5" This daylily features a creamy gold edge which often carries knobs on the tightly ruffled edges. Out of JOVIAL X PIRATE'S PATCH; a good increaser with well-branched scapes. A good parent for edges.

CASTLE PETITE DOLL (R. 94, I. 98) Dip - 16" EMRe sev 2 1/4" ) This tiny blossom features rose pink blend petals with tightly ruffled, lacy tan edges. Opens early in the morning and begins to close late in the evening; good branching and bud count; good rebloomer.

*CASTLE PURPLE FUSION (R 95, I 97) Tet -30" EMRe sev 4 3/4" Another keeper from STRUTTER'S BALL, the pod parent was SECRET SPLENDOR. Excellent substance; well-branched scapes with many blooms and two rebloom periods here. A good increaser; fertile.

CASTLE RUFFLED PRIZE (R 96, I 97) Dip -22" EMRe sev 6" This daylily bloom was first seen after a hard rain, and it was lovely even then. Possessing great substance, both petals and sepals are heavily ruffled and very wide. Fertile both ways.

CASTLE RUFFLED SHOW (R 96, I 98) Dip - 21" ERe sev 4 3/4" A daylily with very full ruffling on wide, overlapped petals. Outstanding substance, with three-way branching and an average of 15 buds; reblooms twice here. Fertile.

*CASTLE STRAWBERRY DELIGHT (R 94, I 97) Tet - 26" EMRe sev 5" A vigorous grower with holding substance. Very good branching with good bud count. Wide petals and sepals are tighly ruffled, with a wire gold and dark rose intermingled edge, more evident on established clump.

CASTLE SUNRISE (R 96, I 97) Dip - EM sev fr 5" This attractive daylily has inherited the best of both its parents, SAVANNAH ART and JOHN BIERMAN. The petals are heavily ruffled. Substance is very good; bright, showy blooms on well-branched scapes. Fertile. Click on photo to see larger picture.

*CASTLE SUGAR CANDY (R. 94, I. 95) Tet - 27" MRe sev 4 1/2" (STRAWBERRY CANDY X BUBBLING BROWN SUGAR) With a dark crimson eyezone and picotee, a wire gold edge circles the sepals. The texture is velvety. Pictured in A.H.S.'s Daylilies - A Fifty-Year Affair.
