2000 Introduction

Aileen Castlebury, Pine Branch Daylily Garden

*CASTLE SHARON'S DELIGHT

(R. '99, I. 2000) Tet - 29" EMRe sev 4 1/2" (#94-2T-1 - SOMETHING WONDERFUL X DARING DILEMMA) This attractive addition to the daylily scene was named by Bill and Sharon Cockerham, after they placed the highest bid during the Region 6 Convention in Nacogdoches, Texas, in 1999. Thanks to both of them for their confidence. The color of this tet is hard to describe and hard to capture on film. I have described it as a soft pink-apricot blend with a washed purple eye and edge. The throat is also greener than pictured here, blending to a chartreuse. The small cream picotee is evident on all blooms. A good performer, getting outstanding characteristics from each parent, with its three- to four-way branched scapes carrying an average of 18 buds. Fertile. $12.
